I was looking for organic and/or environmentally sound beauty products, and I saw the Live Clean shampoo. It says “98% plant ingredients” and “certified organic” but I didn’t see any apparent 3rd party certification on the bottle.

Also, if anyone wants to recommend some certified organic products - not just shampoo, organic anything - that would be a huge help.

All About Hummels!
If they say that they are organic then they more than likely are. false advertising can land a company in big trouble these days so i’d imagine if they’re slapping a 98% number on there it’s true. On the other hand, organic doesn’t mean it’s good for the environment. there is a stigma that synthetic equals bad when all synthetic means is that we make it rather than harvest it. you can synthesize a harmless coloring agent and you can also get a “natural” plant based toxin that’s also a carcinogen. companies have tried to make “organic” synonymous with “ecologically safe” but really it’s not, though i would say that any manufacturer that tries to make an organic product called Live Clean probably is trying to minimize the harmful chemicals.

is doing a campaign to get body care organic and has a list of which really are organic and which are not. this should answer most if not all your questions
