depend what you are using it for? it is pretty harmless and is just mineral oil made from minerals and we are all made from minerals, carbon to be exact.
you want to use it for a moisturizer, olive oil is good or Aloe Vera.
You want to oil down your butcher block table then castor oil is great and it is even good for constipation…!
You want to run your car… well you get the picture….

it is bad it soaks into your blood stream making it hard for you to absorb nutrients. Use olive oil to clean out your ferrets ears. or vegetable oil but olive oil is better.
