I prefer a fire department that uses REAL chemicals to put out fires.
If my house is burning, I don’t want a bunch of hippies trying to put the fire out. I want CHEMICALS the way God intended.
Coming from a Fire Fighter, I know the organic compound you are talking about but we still use a chemical foam here in Virginia. At least out Department does. The foam we use is aggressive as when it comes to putting out flames and preventing them from reigniting and when it all comes down to it it’s basically Dawn. The chemical version however can cause corruption of the inner valve seals if not flushed from the system completely after the fire so we only use it in a pinch, Car fires, Forest fires, that sort of thing. I have heard that the organic version does basically the same thing as the chemical one but it too requires the through rinsing of equipment and is more expensive. Go figure.
